Hello from Pastor Brian! I thought I would take a moment to share some of the exciting upcoming events and news here at Dacusville United Methodist Church.

I’m excited to say that this coming Sunday, February 16 I will be stepping aside to let the women of our church take over the worship service. They have done an excellent job planning this service and many of the ladies are participating in each portion of that service so it’s something you won’t want to miss. So come out and join us at 11 o’clock on this Sunday, February 16.

Then, following the church, we will have our youth gathering where we’re going to make our own pizzas for lunch, followed by a devotional lesson that Debbie Lizzy is coming to lead so I think there will be a lot of great food and information available to the youth from that.

Then Monday evening at 6:00 pm we have our Outreach Committee meeting. If you’re a part of that, we are coming together to work on planning some of our outreach activities here in the first quarter and into the second quarter of 2025. Be sure to mark your calendar for that.

Then on Tuesday the 18th we have our Chargelight SBPRC meeting in the conference room at Dacusville.

Next Sunday the 23rd we’ve got a lot going on that Sunday. We’ve got regular worship service in the sanctuary at 11. Following the worship, we’re going to go down and refresh the four way stop traffic island near Dacusville Pizza Stop. Once we complete the work on the traffic stop, we are in fact going to have lunch at the Dacusville Pizza Stop. Everyone is welcome to come and help out with that and join us in the lunch at the Pizza Stop. That will be an activity with the Acts 29 group and the youth, but everyone is welcome to come and participate.

Then, that afternoon at 4 o’clock I need all parents and guardians of youth, all youth, and any other adults who are interested in going to Saugahatchee this summer to be in the fellowship hall to be in fellowship at 4:00 pm as registration for Saugahatchee opens on March 4 which is just around the corner.

Following that meeting, we will be having our youth co-op at 5:30 with dinner followed by various games and activities and a devotional followed by music. I’m excited to say we have our co-op with Easley First, Grace, Pickens, and Trinity United Methodist of Fountain Inn is coming to join us in our time there as well.

Then the last thing i just want everyone to get on their calendars or get tickets or help us sell tickets for, is on March 1 at 5:30 pm there will be a spaghetti dinner followed by a barbershop quartet named Partners in Rhyme singing. All those proceeds will go to to the youth for all their camps and retreats and other activities that they want to do this summer.
